IT'S A GIRL THING

When hubby and I go away in our wee van I like to take some crafty stash with me to play with.  These little hair slides are just the ticket!  I die cut the felt and flowers before hand and pop them into a little plastic box with my needle, thread and scissors and I'm all prepared for when I need that little crafty fix !

I used 100% wool felt from Papertrey Ink, given to me by my very lovely CBS design teamie Michelle.  The quality is amazing and the colours are just fab!    The gorgeous dotty buttons are from The Ribbon Girl, I love these and they have a wonderful range of colours to choose from.

Have a lovely weekend, fingers crossed the sun comes out to play again.

ONE FOR THE GIRLS

I learnt to crochet when I was quite young.  My mum was a whiz with a crochet hook.  Not only did she make clothes for my Sindy and Barbie dolls, I also had the pleasure of wearing some of her creations.  My favourite was a poncho she made for me and my best friend.  We loved wearing them and pretended we were sisters!

I tend to make smaller items to give as gifts, these flower brooches are my latest project for our One for the Girls challenge over at Let's Craft and Create.  You can find the pattern for them on Cindy's blog Skip to my Lou.
Once again the design team have some wonderful projects to share with you, come and check them out here.

Yay, at last the weekend is here.  My first week back at work has been busy and tiring, can't wait for half term !!

I've been itching to ink up all the fabulous new sets from Stephanie and finally managed to do so last night.  Starting with Super Dad...

As you can see from my card I teamed it up with the Basic Banners set...love these banners!

Right, must go and see if my caramel has cooled to tip over the shortbread...son has requested millionaires shortbread when he calls in later !

p.s. sorry for the wonky photo, it's all been done in a bit of a rush, have a great weekend.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Not long home from a few days away in the Yorkshire Dales. Had a lovely time, despite the weather not being quite what we imagined it would be when we booked a few months ago. The first day was bitterly cold but the second turned out to be perfect for walking.  The scenery was spectacular, especially with the snow on top of the hills.

Before we went I'd made a few quick cards but didn't get chance to post them here, so I'll share them with you now.

All the cards were made using Clearly Besotted's It's Your Birthday stamp set...
plus Stephanie's newly released Basic Banners set and dies.
Hope you've had an enjoyable weekend, I have another week of holidays to look forward to and this time we'll be escaping to Norfolk for a few days!
